The Wonders of Glossing

The Wonders of Glossing is a sacred solo dance originating in The Nation of Meeting. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Russet Intricacy. This dance is a refined artform, with five specific moves to be mastered. The aggressive sinuous dance is punctuated by fluid clockwise half turns, refined leaps and debauched repeated left kicks.

• The dance begins with the passage of the music. The dancer performs very slowly to the omsuth rhythm. This section is punctuated by forward bends.
• The thina is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a leg lift with a low body level.
• The quispep is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is a counterclockwise eighth turn with a vivacious body level change, a raised right arm and vigorous independent body movement. Then there is a softly percussive leap with a debauched hand gesture.
• The nepe is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is large footwork with a body level change, a sensual leftward bend and independent body movement.
• The spishab is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a sprightly left kick with a refined backward bend.
• The daze is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is a body level change with independent body movement and a clockwise eighth quarter turn. Then there is large footwork.
