The Adoration of Incense is a participation dance originating in The Contested Storm. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Satiny Phrase. The dancers perform in a single line, moving very quickly to the music's atha rhythm. The entire dance has a basic movement called the mamo. There is a series of three joyous steps in a triangle pattern with a calm hand gesture. The dance is punctuated by sprightly leaps, low body level and crude facial expressions.
