The Sable Skirt
The Sable Skirt is a social partner dance originally devised by the goblin Ber Rayhell. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Amethyst of Bewildering. The dancers perform in a double circle, moving faster and faster with the music. The partners dance closely, communicating intent by pulling away. This dance is a refined artform, with three special positions to be mastered.
- The dance begins with the verse of the music. This fluid refined section is punctuated by calm clockwise quarter turns.
- The dance enters a new section with the chorus of the music. This sluggish subtle section is punctuated by right kicks.
- The cebela is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a vivacious facial expression from the follower with a sensual arm carriage, a high body level from the follower and a refined left leg lift from the follower.
- The adi is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a powerful right leg lift with a debauched facial expression from the lead, an undulating arm carriage and a low body level.
- The aro is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a passive backward bend from the follower.
