The Poet of Adoration
The Poet of Adoration is a group performance dance originally devised by the goblin Snodub Dreadstirred. The rules of the form are applied by choreographers to produce individual dances which can be performed. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Musics of Embracing as the dancers act out any composition of The Lute of Pantomimes. The dancers perform in a double circle. This dance is a refined artform, with eight specific moves to be mastered. The dance is grotesque and energetic.
- The dance begins with the introduction of the music. This section is punctuated by debauched kicks.
- The kulet is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a body level change with a powerful curved walk.
- The alak is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a jerking right kick with a sinuous leftward bend, a counterclockwise eighth half turn and a raised left arm.
- The bidok is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is a high right kick performed in retrograde by group members with sinuous independent body movement shadowed by group members and a raised left arm shadowed by group members. Then there is a large counterclockwise eighth quarter turn with debauched independent body movement, a right leg lift and a powerful arm carriage. Finally, there is a leap with a lively leg lift, an aggressive clockwise eighth turn and lively independent body movement.
- The nicol is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a right leg lift with a clockwise eighth quarter turn, a high body level and a fluid hand gesture.
- The anam is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a left leg lift performed in retrograde by group members with a passionate facial expression, an aggressive backward bend and independent body movement.
- The gatal is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a powerful leap with a joyous facial expression.
- The mabdug is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a passionate forward bend.
- The zustash is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is a powerful right kick mirrored by group members with a low body level, a clockwise eighth quarter turn and independent body movement. Then there is a powerful left leg lift performed in succession by group members with a fluid raised arm and a vivacious body level change. Then there is a sinuous body level change performed in succession by group members. Finally, there is a spirited spin with independent body movement, a vigorous raised left arm and a strong rightward bend mirrored by group members.
