The Blossom of Glossing
The Blossom of Glossing is a war dance which grew out of the performances of The Vegetations of Thunder. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Rhyming Lace. The dancers perform in a circle, moving to the music's bulifo rhythm. The entire dance has a basic movement called the cebela. There is a series of four sluggish steps in a triangle pattern with a sensual raised left arm, a sway and vivacious independent body movement. The dance is punctuated by energetic right leg lifts and energetic clockwise eighth turns.
- The dance begins with the theme of the music. The dancers perform quickly with the music. This fluid section is punctuated by grotesque rightward bends.
- The dance enters a new section with the exposition of the theme of the music. The dancers perform very slowly with the music. This calm section is punctuated by fluid left kicks, with partially realized moves.
- The dance enters a new section with the bridge-passage of the music. The dancers perform slower and slower with the music. This intense section is punctuated by high body level.
- The dance enters a new section with the recapitulation of the theme of the music. The dancers perform slower and slower with the music. This delicate section is punctuated by understated leaps.
