The Adorable Quiescence
The Adorable Quiescence is a solo performance dance which grew out of the performances of The Hexes of Fate. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Fuchsia Suitor. The dancer performs slowly with the music. The fluid dance is punctuated by sinuous hand gestures.
- The dance begins with the first theme of the music. This vigorous section is punctuated by straight walks.
- The dance enters a new section with the exposition of the first theme of the music. This section is punctuated by leftward bends and raised arms.
- The dance enters a new section with the exposition of the second theme of the music. This sluggish section is punctuated by refined backward bends.
- The dance enters a new section with the synthesis of the music. This section is punctuated by raised left arms and independent body movement.
