The Mirthful Silkinesses

The Mirthful Silkinesses is a form of music used for entertainment originally devised by the dwarf Ilral Crazydaggers. The form guides musicians during improvised performances. The music is played on a merseth. The entire performance is to be moderately loud. The melody has mid-length phrases throughout the form. Only one pitch is ever played at a time. It is performed without preference for a scale and in free rhythm. Throughout, when possible, performers are to glide from note to note.

• The merseth always does the main melody and uses grace notes.
• The Mirthful Silkinesses has a well-defined multi-passage structure: an introduction and one to two passages and an additional lengthy passage.
• The introduction should evoke tears and accelerates as it proceeds.
• Each of the first simple passages should be melancholic and accelerates as it proceeds.
• The second simple passage should be bright and is moderately paced.
