The Wisps of Blossoming
The Wisps of Blossoming is a form of music used to commemorate important events originating in The Pulley of Strategies. The form guides musicians during improvised performances. The music is played on a esrel. The entire performance should be fiery, and it is to fade into silence. Only one pitch is ever played at a time. It is performed without preference for a scale and in the lisig rhythm.
- The esrel always provides the rhythm.
- The Wisps of Blossoming has the following structure: a verse and a lengthy chorus all repeated one times.
- The verse is very fast.
- The chorus is extremely fast.
- The lisig rhythm is made from two patterns: the olmul and the robek. The patterns are to be played over the same period of time, concluding together regardless of beat number.
- The olmul rhythm is a single line with two beats. The beat is stressed as follows:
- | x - |
- where x is a beat, - is silent and | indicates a bar.
- The robek rhythm is a single line with seven beats. The beat is stressed as follows:
- | - X - x - x x |
- where X marks an accented beat, x is a beat, - is silent and | indicates a bar.
