The Glittery Larks

The Glittery Larks is a solemn poetic form concerning the past, originating in The Nation of Meeting. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is divided into three distinct parts: a septet, a sexain and a line. Use of assonance is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines have similar grammatical structures. Every line of the poem has an initial caesura.
