The Beloved Knowledge is a poetic narrative concerning someone recently retired, originating in The Nation of Meeting. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is divided into a line and four to five tercets. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning. Each line has fourteen syllables. Every line of the poem has an initial caesura.
