The Play of Zephyrs
The Play of Zephyrs is a reflective poetic form originally devised by the elf Renuna Tattooedazure. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is divided into two couplets and a septet. Use of simile is characteristic of the form.
- The first part is intended to describe the past. Certain lines present different views of the same subject. The second line of each couplet must expand the idea of the first line. It has lines with eight syllables.
- The second part is intended to reflect on previous ideas concerning the future. Certain lines present different views of the same subject. The seventh line of the septet must expand the idea of the third line. It has lines with three syllables.
