The Granite Mine is a reflective poetic form intended to praise The Diamond of Crystal originally devised by the dwarf Kosoth Authorswords. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a series of tercets. Use of ambiguity is characteristic of the form. Every line of the poem has a terminal caesura. The third line of each tercet must expand the idea of the first line.
