The Twigs of Jumping is a poetic riddle intended to beseech Iden Mintsplashes which grew out of the performances of The Deceivers of Lurking. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is a series of quatrains. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning and they use the same placement of allusions. Each line has three feet with a tone pattern of uneven-even-even. The rhyme scheme of the poem is ABBB.
