The Copper Steel

The Copper Steel is a dramatic poetic form intended to praise The Pointy Tower originally devised by the dwarf Zefon Boltcontains. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is a single couplet. Use of assonance is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often contrast underlying meaning. Every line of the poem has an initial caesura. The second line of the couplet must expand the idea of the first line. The first line has five feet with a syllable weight pattern of long-short-long (quantitative cretic pentameter). The second line must make use of simile. It has five feet with a syllable weight pattern of long-short (quantitative trochaic pentameter).
